I'm a Midwestern guy attempting to use photography and writing as artistic tools to both explore and define existence through a painful and less-than-perfect iterative approach to pinpoint meaning, identity, purpose, and an ethical narrative that I already know has no end-game. It's frustrating but that, in a nutshell, is what I'm up to. It's awfully dark out here most of the time, with forecast visibility extending just to the edges of our headlights. No highbeams. The maps are full of errors and lies, and GPS is just ridiculous electrons making easily refuted arguments. We're all just passing through, but it'd be great if somehow something could be left behind to advance the scope of human comprehension and what we casually refer to as consciousness. Unfortunately, I've not dug deeply enough to grasp exactly what that might be. If you'd like to tag along, the company would be great--but don't just sit there...worry! So there you have it. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm doing it with traditional photographic techniques and wet chemistry processing in my dark, cold basement.
